Understanding Digital Electronics

Understanding Digital Electronics
Understanding Digital Electronics
Butterworth-Heinemann | ISBN: 0718825217 | 1987 | PDF | 137 pages | 6.33 MB
Don't be left behind by modern developments in digital electronics! They present a fascinating new world of achievement which can be easy to understand, if you start at the beginning. Everyone is familiar with digital displays on watches and clocks and calculators, for example. Each number is formed from seven rectangular 'light bulbs', with the correct number of bulbs switched on by a digital circuit to light up the number required. Digital electronics, in fact, is based on devices which work on an on/off basis, or 'count' in steps of 1 (i.e., in 'digits'). Download Links (6.3 Mb)

The Guilford Press | 2009 | ISBN: 1606234684, 1606234692 | 256 pages | PDF | 13 MB

Written specifically for K–12 educators, this accessible book explains the processes involved in second-language acquisition and provides a wealth of practical strategies for helping English language learners (ELLs) succeed at reading. The authors integrate knowledge from two fields that often remain disconnected—linguistics and literacy—with a focus on what works in the classroom. Teachers learn effective practices for supporting students as they build core competencies not just for reading in English, but also for listening, speaking, and writing. Engaging vignettes and examples illustrate ways to promote ELLs’ communicative skills across the content areas and in formal and informal settings.

CCNA Security Lab Manual

CCNA Security Lab Manual
By Cisco Networking Academy (Author) The Cisco CCNA Security curriculum provides foundational network security knowledge, practical experience, opportunities for career exploration, and soft-skills development to help students prepare for careers with network security responsibilities. CCNA Security includes a comprehensive set of hands-on, online laboratories. To complement these, many students and instructors have requested a printed resource that can be used to study in places where Internet access may not be available. CCNA Security Lab Portfolio is that resource. Drawn directly from the online curriculum, it covers every lab presented in this course, addressing all these areas of network security: " Modern network security threats " Securing network devices " Authentication, authorization and accounting " Implementing firewall technologies " Implementing intrusion prevention " Securing LANs " Cryptography " Implementing VPNs " Putting it all together CCNA Security Lab Portfolio gives students new flexibility to study these hands-on labs offline, highlight key points, and take handwritten notes. All topics are correlated directly to online web pages, helping you easily switch between offline and online content. Additional notes pages will be included between each lab for use as a notebook in class. A separate Answer Key is available in the Cisco Academy Connection area of Cisco's web site.
